HUM for WEDNESDAY 3-22-06

Repub Paul Decelles wins Ward 7 runoff by 69 votes. Our solid prediction on Monday (archives) had Decelles winning by 65. Yet another reason why the HUM is rapidly becoming the daily check for a crisp interpretation on local events. Not a heck of a lot of voters came out yesterday, a tad over 800. The sheep that couldn't make it to the polls surely made time in their schedules to watch the insipid 'American Idol', though. Can we change the system so people can vote from the comfort and ease of their couches. Dunno.

SUN, BABY
HUM forecasts real sweet day on Saturday. Bet we'll reach 50 with sun.

SELLING OUT, NATURALLY
Tom's of Maine bought out by Colgate-Palmolive! Tom's, beloved by many Vermonters, gets 100 million and a player to be named later. So, the list goes on. Has Amy's sold out, yet?

FIVE CORNERS TO-DO LIST
Tons of street hum regarding the Circ relieving pressure at the Five Corners in Essex Junction. Hey, what's the big deal? I get a lot done at the Five Corners! Why, just yesterday the light took so long to change I was able to get out of the car and change my oil. Later today, while waiting for the light to change, I'm gonna vacuum the interior. The possibilities are endless. Check in tomorrow for more ways to get things done at the Five Corners intersection.
