LOWE-DOWN, PART 2
Let's Build Something Together. The Lowe's slogan came in play in more ways than one yesterday as they announced go ahead plans for the South Burlington location. The retail giant received the blessings of the Conservation Law Foundation, provided they install stormwater treatment systems. It's a win-win. CLF gets the assurances it wanted, and Lowe's is licking it's corporate lips, moving into a growing market that is virtually failproof for their type of biz. Lowe's will spend about a mil for the systems, but hey, they got it. Until they open in 2008, the Plattsburgh location is still the closest.

FIVE CORNERS UPDATE
Couldn't wait at the Essex Junction Five Corners Light yesterday. I was too busy. So I strapped on a set of rescue lights to the top of car and sailed through unimpeded. It was great!
