WCAX with report that five thousand buckaroos will get you an audience with Laura Bush when she sweeps in to town on Friday. If you can't quite scrape up the fiver, you can do lunch with Laura and 150 others for a mere 200 dollars. Chump change.
WHY NOT RAISE OUR RATES?
CVPS next utility to raise rates; about 6 per cent. They claim there is a need to raise rates on account of blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah.
CASH FOR COPS
Today voters in SB will decide to fund new improved police station. We predict the new facility will be approved.
FIVE CORNERS UPDATE
Incredibly long wait at the Essex Junction Five Corners Light yesterday. I left my Hummer idling at the intersection, hopped on a city bus, rode to Burlington, walked the bike path, rode the bus back to Essex and hopped in the H just as the light was turning green. Splendid.

Why does anyone outside of a war zone need a Hummer? Those vehicles must use an obscene amount of gas. Why do people own them? Is it to show off wealth, or because their owner's want to know it would crush any other car it hit? I read somewhere the military doesn't have enough Hummers. Perhaps people who have Hummers and support our troops should consider donating their car to the Army.
I should buy a Hummer and put a Bernie sticker on it just to get a reaction.
Hummers get the negative attention but some big pickups are just as bad.
