WEDNESDAY'S HUM (1-31-07)
LET'S TALK PIZZA, PAISAN !
Every week the Hum is going to have a reader survey on local stuff.
Last week it was coffee and thanks to a suggestion in the comments, this week it's pizza ! Yum.
What's your favorite pizza spot? Does Vermont have any good pizza or do you hafta go to Boston or New York? Do you like Domino's or Donny's ? Bingo's or Baracci's ? Leonardo's or Luciano's ?
C'mon, don't be shy. With thousands of Hum readers, you won't be alone.
Pizza Hut Stuffed Crust is popular in the Hum-o-sphere.

FIVE CORNERS UPDATE
The darn light took so long to change yesterday at the Essex Junction Five Corners we were able to order Domino's AND have it delivered to our car! We then polished off the whole thing and were about to chomp the wings when the stinking light turned green. Rats!
CAN'T THEY MAKE THAT LIGHT LONGER!!!

re: pizza question
Angeleno's in Montpelier, of course!
HA !
To the previous person:
as long as your in Montpelier, why not just keep driving to Barre to get real! pizza - at Del's.
Montpelier ain't a good place for pizza.
Barre got us Italians to show you guys what's up!
Ken's Pizza !
The guy from Barre is a joke.
Nobody thinks of Barre, Vt when they think of GOOD pizza!
Sal's Italian Restaurant in Rutland is the real thing.
For chain pizzas, Pizza Hut is better than Domino's.
For your next survey, why don't you do frnch fry joints.
Let's get one thing straight.
There IS no REALLY good Pizza in Vermont. ( I know I'll get a "flatlander" accusation for this, but....) after living in Western MA for many years, it was very depressing to move here and find that no-one here can bake a pie like they do there. Please note: MOST things are better here in VT....but Pizza is just not one of them.
If you do ever venture south of the border, make sure to drop in to Red Rose Pizza on Main St. in Springfield.
BUT, with what we got here, I must say the best are Ken's on Church St., Bingo's in Essex, and yes, Mimmo's in Essex.
I must say it's a surprise with as many people who DO move up here from Western MA, that no-one has come up yet to open a Pizza Joint.
I wish they would:)
American Flatbread in Middlebury beats anything in Western Mass, or Eastern Mass, for that matter.
'there is no really good pizza in Vermont'
How does that person know that. Has he or she been to every pizza place in the entire state.
Word of advice -
Try Papa Nick's in Hinesburg.
