SUCKS TO BE GAYE
EMBATTLED SPEAKER BLASTED AGAIN
Yeah, it must suck to be Gaye Symington right about now.

Dems have got to be unhappy with her leadership.
Progs are teed off over Gaye's inaction re: the impeachment initiative.
Righties can't stand her because...well, just because.

Scope out this scathing letter in yesterday's Free Press. The writer, a prog, we guess, tells Gaye to read the constitution! Ouch.

Gaye made The Daily Kos, a liberal site which receives millions of visitors, and was accused of "watching the clock", whatever that means.

And don't forget Ex-Repub talkbag Jim Barnett and his blistering attack on Gaye's patriotism.

BOY, IS HE GOOD LOOKING !
ROMNEY RAISES 21 MIL IN THREE MONTHS
Okay. Let's break it down to the most simplistic terms. Mitt Romney and Barack Obama are doing well in early polls and are also kicking butt on the money grubbing trail.
Why? They're both good looking dudes, that's why!
Political gurus on TV can talk for days on the intricacies of why Romney and Obama are leaders at this point. Don't listen. Don't overanalyze.
Studies have been done on beautiful people running for political office. These studies show that people are more inclined to vote for somebody pleasing to the eye. So there.
As far as Hillary goes...

Thanks for bringing up Gaye Symington and impeachment (or in her case "reading the constitution.")

The only thing I gotta take issues is that the impeachment resolution is solely coming from progressives. As someone who's been following the impeachment movement in Vermont, it's hardly the case. They may be front and center, but they are certainly not the only ones.

Republicans in Franklin County expressed support to Dan DeWalt.

Evangelicals in Vermont and elsewhere have been calling to thank him and to express their support.

On a sidenote, Bruce Fein - the former U.S. Assistant Atty. General who said the Roe v. Wade decision was the dumbest thing he ever witnessed and who also wrote the draft impeachment articles for Bill Clinton - supports Bush/Cheney's impeachment and believes this is the most impeachable president in U.S. history.

And probably the best case in point, at Town Meeting in Wilmington, VT, a leading Democratic figure on the Wilmington Democratic Committee introduced the impeachment resolution. The person who seconded it was the chair of the Wilmington Republican Committee. The resoltion passed, albeit a close one (59-46) (and that's a lot of Wilmington folks who stayed behind for that.)

My point is it's NOT just progressives urging Gaye to get the joint resolution going. Whoever wrote that is not paying close attention. If they did, they'd see something completely different.

I've seen so much misinformation being communicated re: impeachment, the necessity, and the people who support it. We all really need to investigate these things before we start writing or judging about them.

I think what they meant by "watching the clock" is that she's letting the time run out so she doesn't have to do anything on the impeachment issue.

20 to 30 years from now when the dust settles and we have a clearer idea what Bush/Cheney did in the 8 years they served, people will be flabbergasted as to why we didn't do anything to stop these people.

In my mind, our generation may be compared to the "Good Germans" who did not speak out and respond to the Nazi atrocities during WWII. I don't want that to happen, epecially for our leaders in Congress and in the state legislature. Gaye Symington is fulfilling that prophecy and when the wikipedia entry is finalized it will say Gaye Symington, "The Good German."

Re: Boy, is he Good Looking

Does that mean that Matt Dunne beat John Tracy in the primary because he was better looking ?

p.s. - Where's Brian Dubie been lately ?
